Open a new white canvas 500W x 60H pixels.
Select the Path Drawing Tool, Shape - rectangle;
Mode - 2D with a colour of your own choosing, Draw a rectangle
395W x 10H. Click on Object / Convert Object Type / From Text/Path
to Image.

Right click and duplicate your rectangle 2 times.
Move one of the duplicated rectangles to just above
the original and use the transform tool to reduce the height to
8 pixels. With this top rectangle still selected, click on the
(plus) + sign of the brightness controls 3 times to make it lighter
in colour.
Move the other duplicated rectangle to just below the original
and use the transform tool to reduce the height to 5 pixels. With
this bottom rectangle still selected, click on the (minus) - sign
of the brightness controls 4 times to make it darker in colour.

Use the Path Drawing Tool, Shape - diamond; Color - #E4A68B;
Mode - 3D; Border - 10; Depth - 30; to draw a diamond shape
approximately 76W x 23H. Send it to the back and place it into
postion as the sharpened end of your pencil.

With your diamond shape still selected, click on Object / Convert
Object Type / From Text/Path to Image. Use the Burn Tool to slightly
darken the lower edge and go over the whole sharpened end with
the blur tool. With this diamond shape still selected, click on
the (plus) + sign of the brightness controls 2 or 3 times to make
it lighter in colour. Use the paintbrush set on black to paint
over the point to create your pencil lead.

Use the Path Drawing Tool, Shape - rounded rectangle; Color
- #E4A68B; Mode - 3D; Border - 8; Depth - 30; to draw a shape
approximately 49W x 23H pixels. This will formulate the eraser
on your pencil, so place it into position and send to the back.
Click on Object / Convert Object Type / From Text/Path to Image
then go over it once with the Blur Tool to make it look a little
duller.

Select the Path Drawing Tool, Shape - rounded rectangle; Mode
- 3D; Border - 1; Deph - 1; then open the Easy Palette/Material
Attributes Gallery/Metallic and double click on Silver 5.
(PI 8, XL or Pro users to use Silver 7)

Change the colour in the attributes bar to #F7BC5B. Draw a
rounded rectangle approximately 33W x 22H pixels. Place into
postion over the end of the main pencil and eraser. Click on
Object / Convert Object Type / From Text/Path to Image.

With this metallic rounded rectangle still selected, click on
the (plus) + sign of the brightness controls 3 times and then
click on the (plus) + sign of the contrast controls 4 times. Erase
a very small section at the eraser end of the metallic part.

Use the airbrush Shape - round 10; Color - black; Transparency
- 50; Soft Edge - 50; to darken the lower edge of this piece and
then change the colour to white and shade the top edge in the
same way and also airbrush another white line following the midline
of the pencil.

Select the three rectangles of your main pencil and use the eraser
Shape - round 8; Transparency - 0; Soft Edge - 0; to erase a little
area of each section to create the shaved edge look.

You pencil is almost complete. All that's left to do is to add
some gold lettering and a shadow if you wish and that's it!
